Tyler turns 1!!

So, I know its a little late but wanted to post an update on my (not so little) baby boy turning 1 year old! We had such a jam-packed weekend!

Saturday was his birthday, which we spent the day running some last minute errands for his birthday party on Sunday. We took Ty to a pumpkin patch and animal farm that afternoon. We got a couple of cute pictures at the pumpkin patch but he didn't seem too enthused with the animals. He was getting sleepy and cranky. They had a corn maze as well but didn't go through since he was getting cranky didn't seem too interested.

Sunday began with him being dedicated at church (not a baptism but just a public confirmation that we as parents will dedicate ourselves to raising Tyler up with love and Christian values), and then the party afterwards with family and a few close friends. To Troy and me, the dedication was very special since Tyler was such a special and much prayed for gift.

The party was Mickey Mouse themed (of course) and everything went well. He got a lot of cute toys and clothes. One very fun one that Ty just loves is his new Elmo (the Elmo Live doll) that talks and sings, and moves! My mom made him a cake to dig into, which he loved... even got some in his ear, which I found Monday morning. Priceless moment!!

Some milestones with turning 1:

(1.) He has now switched from the bottle to a sippy cup

(2.) He is now drinking whole milk, instead of formula

(3.) He now sits frontwards in his car seat (and loves looking around)

and most recent (4) he now can scoot out of his walker by himself!! (I found this one out this morning!!)
